Over the past few months it has become painfully clear to me that I significantly underestimated how devious Devin Diamond could really be, and further just how much of a threat to SSW as a whole he and his clients [Justice Jones, Dave Rydell, and Calvin Beckham] have become. Our plans for every event this year have in some way been interfered with by Devin and his goons, and I am tired of picking up the pieces afterwards. It is going to stop, one way or another.
Devin made it clear he will not rest until he gets control of SSW, so, I am going to give him the opportunity. If his faith in his clients is as unwavering as he claims, then they should have no problem fighting for it. And since Justice Jones has been ducking a rematch with Vic Capri after "stealing" the SSW title from him, I felt putting that title on the line as well would be a fair trade.
The way I see it, I have full faith in Vic Capri that given opportunity to assemble his own team, that he will bring together the best crew to be found to fight by his side. I have no doubt that they will then steamroll over the self-proclaimed "Best in the Midwest" that Devin is now calling his team of Jones, Rydell and Beckham. But, in the event that I am wrong, and Devin's team manages to be victorious over Vic's, then I will be the first to admit that his crew is truly what they now claim...and that they are unstoppable. In that event, I will gladly hand him over control of SSW.
Because IF SSW becomes a place dominated by guys like Devin, Jones, Rydell, and Beckham, then it would become a place I no longer belong...and frankly I'd want to no longer be a part of. Simple as that.
In the aftermath of "Fallout", it is clear that the stakes have never been higher for the future of SSW! With RJ Daniels putting his ownership of SSW on the line to get Vic Capri a chance to regain the SSW Championship on August 31st, regardless the outcome, when the day is done SSW will be forever changed. As we all know, after another of many group attacks perpetrated by Justice Jones, Dave Rydell, and Calvin Beckham, SSW owner RJ Daniels scheduled a 4-on-4 tag match for August 31st. The match is to consist of the team of Justice Jones, Dave Rydell, Calvin Beckham, and their manager Devin Diamond, taking on Vic Capri and a team of his choosing (of which we have yet to be informed of). But, this is no ordinary match. In a stipulation surprisingly agreed to by RJ, that if Devin's team wins, he will get control of SSW from RJ. But, RJ was sure that given the high stakes he put on the line, that his side would fight for something of equal value. So, if Vic's team wins, he will regain the SSW Championship from Justice Jones. Given those stipulations, this may very well be the most important match in the history of this organization!
As it seemed he is un-nessecarily risking his stake in SSW just to get Vic Capri a chance to get his title back, we reached out to RJ for an explanation as to why he agreed to the stipulations of the match, and he responded with the following statement:
So, there it is from the owner of SSW himself. Needless to say, regardless of what happens on August 31st, things will never be the same again...as we will either have a new SSW Champion or a new owner. For the start of our 12th year, one can only wonder what the future will hold for SSW if put under a Devin Diamond regime. Given his track record of abuse and corruption as former SSW Commissioner, we can only assume that a Devin Diamond with total control would be exponentially worse. On the flip side, we can safely assume that if Vic Capri once again holds the flagship title of SSW, things may return to normal around here...and their reign of terror may finally be put to an end!
