| As many already know, our very own SSW Lightning Division Champion, Melanie Cruise, has gotten an amazing opportunity to wrestle in Japan! She will be taking part in Pro Wrestling WAVE's 7th Anniversary event on August 24th, and will be spending the next 3 months in the "Land of the Rising Sun"! It goes without saying that it has been an honor to have Melanie as part of the SSW family, and for her to represent the Lightning Division as it's current champion! Not only that, but also for her to be the first female champion in the history of our organization! |
Unfortunately for all of us, this means Melanie will not be able to attend "Best in the Midwest" on August 31st to defend her title, and further will be unable to do so for at least the next three months at our future events. We asked SSW owner RJ Daniels about what this means for the title and for the division, and he said that he has scheduled a meeting this weekend to discuss the situation with the SSW "Board of Investors", and they are going to be making an announcement next week Monday as to how we are going to proceed!
