Dave Rydell and Calvin Beckham defeated Pauly Thomaselli and Marshe Rockett to earn a shot at the SSW Tag Team titles

Jeff Luxon defeated Ryan Kross to win bracket 1 of the 2014 Lords of the Ring tournament

Justice Jones defeated Scott Spade via disqualification, after senior referee Mirko Joecop reversed the decision of referee AJ Lewis, after Spade rolled up Justice for a pinfall.

For those of you that have been wondering what the SSW Lightning Division Champion Matt Dewar will be doing this Sunday at "Headlock on Hunger 9", he will be defending his title in a 5-way match against Anthony Antonelli, The Masked Stretcher, Jason Parks, and Melanie Cruise!

The team that will face Dave Rydell & Calvin Beckham this Sunday at "Headlock on Hunger 9" for #1 contendership to the Tag Team titles has been revealed to be none-other than the team of Pauly Thomaselli & Marshe Rockett.

Over the past year, Pauly and Marshe have had a contentious yet respectful relationship with one another. After facing each other in the finals of the 2013 "Lords" tournament, they seem to have gotten on the same page with one another in light of their common enemy in the form of Devin Diamond's goon squad of Justice Jones, Dave Rydell, and Calvin Beckham. Being two of the top competitors in SSW today, Pauly and Marshe will be a force to be reckoned with if this is the start of a lasting tag team here in SSW.

Of course, should either Marshe or Pauly be victorious in the aforementioned #1 contendership battle royal to face Justice Jones for the SSW title, we are sure RJ Daniels will have a fitting replacement ready to go!

SSW owner RJ Daniels has announced that in the absence of a current #1 contender to the SSW Championship, that an open invitational battle royal has been added to "Headlock on Hunger 9" on March 16th, with the winner to then challenge Justice Jones for the SSW title in the main event!

The Battle Royal will be open to any and all SSW competitors that wish to get a shot at the title, but we have to assume that an odds on favorite has to be non-other than former SSW Champion, "The Icepick" Vic Capri.  Vic was robbed of the SSW title back in December, and to due contractual manipulations by former Commissioner Devin Diamond, he was prevented from having his deserved rematch, and forced to start over from the bottom.  There is not another man on the roster with more to prove, and more reason to win this match than Vic Capri.

Though RJ Daniels has not stated it specifically, we presume that this move is a way to allow Vic Capri a contractually viable option to earn another shot at the title...though, anything can happen.  With the match open to any and all competitors, the title shot truly is anyone's to win!  The competition in SSW has never been more fierce than it is today, and any man (or woman) stands a chance at earning a shot at the SSW Champion!

It has just been announced that a Tag Team Division #1 Contendership match has been added to the card for "Headlock on Hunger 9"  on Sunday, March 16th.  This match was added after Devin Diamond petitioned the SSW championship committee, stating that due to the lack of a current #1 contendership team, his associates Dave Rydell & Calvin Beckham deserve the shot at the SSW Tag Team titles on 3/16.  Given their triumphant victory at Retribution (with Justice Jones) over Vic Capri, Marshe Rockett, and Pauly Thomaselli, Mr. Diamond made the case that this makes them the only valid team in SSW to challenge for the titles.  SSW owner RJ Daniels begged to differ, and denied his request, stating that if his team wanted a shot at the titles they needed to earn it. 

So, the match has been made, but, who the other team in that match will be is yet a mystery.  RJ has yet to give us an answer, other than stating that he is "working on it".

SSW owner RJ Daniels has confirmed that MELANIE CRUISE will be returning to SSW on March 16th at Headlock on Hunger 9!

Back in December, she competed in the SSW Lightning Division Championship eliminator match, and held her own with 4 other men, and directly affecting the outcome of the match that crowned Matt Dewar the new champ.

Specifics have not yet been given on her place on card, but, if assumptions hold true, we assume Melanie still has her sights set on the SSW Lightning Division title!

We just got word that Bracket 2 of the 2014 "Lords of the Ring" tournament has it's 4 competitors. We already announced the debut of YABO THE CLOWN, who is now going to be joined by JESTER YORICK, as well as the current SSW Tag Team Champions, RUFF CROSSING & SCOTT SPADE, to round out bracket 2.

SSW is proud to announce that YABO THE CLOWN will be making his debut with us on March 16th, being the first of 4 competitors entering Bracket 2 of the 2014 "Lords of the Ring" tournament.
