On Sunday, April 12th, 2015, we held our first ever "Royal Rumble" style event called "Over the Top". It was an amazing day of SSW wrestling, filled with awesome action, unexpected happenings, and surprises!
Our grand prize in our raffle tomorrow at "Over the Top" will be the all new "FAST & FURIOUS MOVIE COLLECTION" on Blu-Ray. This awesome 7-disc set contains all 6 films (2 of which star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) in an awesome collectible rim & tire disc holder, with a open spot for "Furious 7" when it his home video. This prize will go to one lucky winner of our raffle, and tickets will only be $1 each as always, and of course you can buy as many as you want to increase your odds of winning. It has just been confirmed that the second "Lords of the Ring" qualifier match of the 2015 tournament will be taking place this Sunday at "Over The Top", and will feature "Shogun" Chris Logan taking on Sinister (a member of "The 3 Rings").
Geoffrey Percival Austere, aka GPA, has informed SSW management that he will be competing with a new tag partner this Sunday at "Over the Top". His partner will now be none other than midwest wrestling legend, Derek St. Holmes, Esq, when they challenge Ryan Kross and Jeff Luxon for the SSW Tag Team Championships.
The qualifying round of the 2015 "Lords of the Ring" tournament will continue at "Over the Top" this Sunday, when Yabo the Clown faces off against Nick Cutler. This will be the first of two planned matches to take place, where the winners of which will join "The Icepick" Vic Capri and "The Future" Matt Dewar, whom have already qualified for the tournament!
It has just been confirmed that the 3-time SSW Tag Team Champions, Ryan Kross & Jeff Luxon, will be defending their titles against two rising stars in the midwest wrestling scene, Geoffrey Percival Austere (GPA) & Mason Conrad, at "Over The Top" on Sunday, April 12th. Although GPA is no stranger to SSW, this will be the first appearance by Conrad, and of course, the first time both men step into the SSW ring as a tag team.
With our 12th year coming to a close next month, SSW owner RJ Daniels has just announced that he has decided to freshen things up here in SSW, and will be doing so with a major overhaul to our organization's branding and image. The initials SSW have stood for many things over the past 12 years, whether it be South Shore Wrestling, Stars & Stripes Wrestling, or even just plain ole' SSW. But, from this point forward, SSW is no more, and we will now be known as "2SW"!
