SSW owner RJ Daniels has made a big change to the title shot that the winner of the 2014 "Lords of the Ring" tournament will be getting.  Last year, Pauly Thomaselli earned his SSW title shot by winning the 2013 tournament, but has yet to be able to capitalize on it due to the stipulation built into it that the defending SSW Champion "must agree to the match" for it to be used.  Unlike WWE's "Money in the Bank", which allows the challenger to be granted a match at anytime they chose, the title shot now held by Pauly is basically useless.  The current SSW Champion, Justice Jones, has been unwilling to defend his title against Thomaselli, and there has been nothing RJ could do to change that. 

At the time of Pauly's win, Devin Diamond was still the commissioner of SSW, and thus had drafted the contract in such a way to make it nearly impossible for the winner to challenge for the title now held by his client, Justice Jones.  Clearly, this was just another in a long line of deceptions created by the former commissioner to ensure his client to have one less threat to his title.  So, to rectify this issue, RJ has decided that this year's tournament winner will indeed still be earning a guaranteed SSW title shot, but, this time around the title shot can be used "Money in the Bank" style, and can be "cashed in" at any time of the their choosing, regardless of whether or not the defending champion accepts the match.

So, with a guaranteed SSW title shot that can be used at any time the winner chooses, the prize is just that much sweeter for the competitor that manages to win the 2014 "Lords of the Ring" tournament when it concludes at the end of the year!

It has just been announced that the Interim SSW Lightning Division Championship match this Sunday at "Best in the Midwest" will be decided in a 4-Way match. Entered into that match are two familiar faces in SSW, in that of Nick Cutler and Jason Parks!  Joining them will be two newcomers to SSW, in that of Yabo The Clown and Colin Smith!  All four of these men are red-hot in the region, and SSW owner RJ Daniels felt that they are all fitting contenders for the Lightning Division title, and making this a 4-way match adds just enough unpredictability and intensity that is expected of the Lightning Division.

Although Melanie Cruise is still the official SSW Lightning Division Champion and will remain so until her return, the winner of this match will become the "Interim" Champion in her absence (as she is currently competing in Japan).  Of course, the winner will still have to defend the title until Melanie's return, but, should whomever wins this match still be interim champion when she does, they will then be taking on Melanie to determine the "Undisputed" Lightning Division Champion!

In the wake of Melanie Cruise's recent journey to compete in Japan and expected three month long stay, a void has been left in the championship title picture here in SSW.  With our Lightning Division Champion overseas and thus unable to defend her title, SSW owner RJ Daniels met with his staff this past weekend to address the issue.  We just got a statement from the owner on their official decision on the matter:

With the epic four-on-four elimination match coming up in just one week at "Best in the Midwest", we felt it was the right time to look back at how it all started.  The shocking night when Justice Jones aligned himself with Devin Diamond, Dave Rydell, and Calvin Beckham, and made Vic Capri the victim of one of the greatest conspiracies in SSW history.  Now known as "The Kenosha Screwjob", it was one of the most anticipated, most brutal, and most controversial matches in the history of SSW,  and it is now available to watch on our YouTube Channel!

It has just been announced that "Shogun" Chris Logan will be taking on "The High Priest" William Jacobs in the qualifying round of Bracket 4 of the 2014 "Lords of the Ring" Tournament at "Best in the Midwest" on Sunday, August 31st!  This will be the first time both of these competitors take part in a "Lords" tournament, and both men are well known competitors throughout the region!

All of us in SSW are proud to announce that another great competitor will be joining the SSW family at "Best in the Midwest" on August 31st.  None other than "The Shogun" Chris L.O.G.A.N.! 

He has been on a tear throughout the region, and has had some epic battles with the likes of Pauly Thomaselli, Hardcore Craig, and many other greats throughout the region.  He has caught the eyes and earned the respect of many of the "impact players" in this area, and clearly is a threat to anyone who makes the mistake of entering the ring with him!

Coming off of a great showing at Pro Wrestling Blitz's "WrestleFest 5" this past weekend, "The Shogun" is looking to make his mark on SSW and show that he truly is one of the "Best in the Midwest"!  To do so, he will be entering the 2014 "Lords of the Ring" tournament, with the intention of going all the way to the top and earning the coveted SSW Championship contract this December!
