Vic Capri also made a special request for personal time in the ring at our next event on October 27th, as he wishes to make "an announcement about his future". We can only hope that this does not mean what we think it means, though he did not give them any more details than that. RJ has granted his request, and thus "The Icepick" Vic Capri will be appearing at "Ring of Horror" on Sunday, October 27th, hopefully to give us nothing but good news.
In the past week, all of us in SSW have been hoping for good news from the SSW Champion, Vic Capri, in regards to his health after the vicious attack he took from Justice Jones last Sunday. Unfortunately, earlier today, SSW management got word from Mr. Capri that the medical evaluations of his neck have thus far been "inconclusive", and at this point he has not been given medical clearance to return to the ring. He has been using his neck brace to help alleviate the pain and numbness that is associated with a spinal injury, and of course dealing with the after effects of a concussion. He did speak with both SSW owner RJ Daniels and Commissioner Devin Diamond today, and wanted to let everyone know that all things considered, he is doing as well as can be, and he also wanted to thank everyone for their concerns for his well being.

With "A New Day" in the books, it was a day of epic matches and shocking moments that has left us with two more qualifiers for the 2013 "Lords of the Ring" tournament, new #1 contenders to the SSW and Lightning Division titles, as well as the very future of the current SSW Champion, Vic Capri, in question! After the vicious attack by Justice Jones, Vic Capri has had to undergo medical evaluations of his neck and spine, as well as undergo treatment for a presumed concussion, after taking a pile-driver onto the SSW title belt. Image: Justice Jones attacks the SSW Champion, Vic Capri, after the conclusion of their tag team match against Marshe Rockett and Pauly Thomaselli. SSW owner RJ Daniels sent over this pic with the following note: "The rumors are true! We are hard at work proofing the first issue of the all new SSW MAGAZINE, which if scheduling cooperates with us, should go to press on Thursday or Friday, so that we can make it available at our event this Sunday." Let's all hope "scheduling cooperates"! UPDATE: The first issue of SSW Magazine has gone to press, and it will be available to purchase this Sunday at "A NEW DAY"! MARSHE ROCKETT vs JUSTICE JONES with #1 contendership to the SSW Championship on the line has been added to the line-up of matches for this Sunday at "A NEW DAY". Once again, this match comes to us because of what transpired in our "Best in the Midwest" fatal four way for the SSW Championship back in May at our 10th Anniversary Event, "Ascension". As many of you saw (and can watch here), with Vic Capri sneaking the win by pinning Pauly Thomaselli, and now scheduled to face him 1 on 1 this Sunday, it has become pretty clear that we will very soon need a new #1 contender to the title after Sunday's event. So, what better men to fight for that right than the other two men in that four-way match? Not to mention that both men have nothing short of disdain for one another, as the two have come to blows and Marshe has left Justice laying in the ring after an "M80" upon the conclusion of both our last 2 events. Also not to forget that it was Justice Jones that helped Vic Capri defeat Marshe Rockett for the SSW title back in March at "Headlock on Hunger 8", so this #1 contendership match has opportunity and payback written all over it! Mr. Bank$, The Masked Stretcher,Peter Schwanz and the "Trailer Park Boys" have been added to the roster for competitors for "A NEW DAY" on September 22!
It has just been confirmed that the SSW Champion VIC CAPRI will be defending his title against PAULY THOMASELLI at "A NEW DAY" on September 22! Here is the specific details we were given on this decision: "Thomaselli has been named the new #1 contender, after a close review of the footage from the SSW Championship match at ASCENSION this past May 26th, of which revealed that Capri pinned Thomaselli with the help of leverage by grabbing the ropes outside the field of view of the referee (which you can watch on our YouTube Channel). At the same time, both Marshe Rockett and Justice Jones were outside the confines of the ring, and thus neither man had a close chance of affecting the outcome of that match at that particular moment. So, with all things considered, Pauly Thomaselli is being named #1 contender to the SSW Champion, to which he will challenge Vic Capri for on Sunday, September 22, 2013 in Kenosha, WI." So, there you have it fans, the official word that PAULY THOMASELLI will be facing VIC CAPRI for the SSW title in just 2 short weeks! The Four Way SSW Championship match from ASCENSION - where Vic Capri defended his title against Marshe Rockett, Justice Jones, and Pauly Thomaselli - has been posted to our YouTube Channel. This match was voted the "Match of the Night" from our 10th Anniversary event, with good reason...because it featured 4 of the #BestInTheMidwest in what is sure to be looked back on as the biggest match in the history of SSW!
