Congratulations to Jester Yorick, Pauly Thomaselli, Marshe Rockett, and Calvin Beckham for winning their respective matches at "War is Coming" last Sunday and advancing to the semi-final round of the 2013 "Lords of the Ring" Tournament.  The updated brackets are below:

The event would begin with SSW Commissioner Devin Diamond welcoming the crowd to the show, and also acknowledging his absence from "Ring of Horror" due to nagging medical issues.  Devin then informed the crowd that he would be giving up his duties as Ring Announcer, and handing of the reigns to the new SSW "Master of Ceremonies", Mr. Ricolo!

The 2013 "Lords of the Ring" tournament continues the tradition started by SSW back in 2008.  The tournament brings together some of the top talent in the region today - to compete for the honor of being crowned the "Lord of the Ring".  In 2008, the tournament was won by "The Acumen" Austin Roberts, and when the tournament returned in 2012, it's winner was Ruff Crossing.  Both men are in the upper echelon of independent wrestlers in the area today.  The 2013 tournament is shaping up to be our best one yet, again with some of the best in the midwest vying for the title!

As many of you saw, Grin defeated then SSW Lightning Division Champion Dave Rydell to become the new champion at "Ring of Horror" on October 27th, in the main event of one of our most memorable events to date.  SSW Commissioner Devin Diamond has informed us that the new Champ will be having his first title defense on November 24th, in a rematch with Dave Rydell.  Rydell was understandably upset at losing the title, and claimed to have been under duress and distracted by the disappearance of his good friend, Peter Schwanz, whom he expected to be in his corner for the match.  He also threw around unfounded allegations that Grin, and his "3 Rings" buddies had something to do with it.  Mr. Diamond has taken all things into consideration in granting Rydell's request for his rematch to take place on Sunday, November 24th, at "War is Coming", at the "Legendary" Brat Stop in Kenosha, WI.

The fallout from "Ring of Horror" continues, as today we have gotten word that neither the SSW Champion Vic Capri nor the #1 Contender Justice Jones are medically cleared to compete at "War is Coming" on Sunday, November 24th.  Both men suffered numerous injuries during their brawl last month that has put both men on medical suspension until early December.  Of course, this means that their highly anticipated SSW Championship match has been re-scheduled to take place at our event this December 29th.  Though never officially announced, it was presumed by many that they would finally meet for the title match later this month.

At "Ring of Horror" on October 27th, "Noize, Booze, and Tattooz" got a chance to earn another title shot if they could defeat both members of "The East-West Express" in one-on-one competition.  Ruff Crossing would successfully defeat Jeff Luxon by TKO via a sleeper hold, meaning that Ryan Kross would then face Scott Spade.  During the course of the match, both Jeff Luxon and Ruff Crossing would be at ringside, and that is where the trouble began.

The eight qualifiers for the 2013 "Lords of the Ring" tournament have been determined, by winning the eight qualifying matches that have taken place during the 2013 season that began at "Headlock on Hunger" back in March.  Here is how the qualifying round played out:

The thoughts and prayers from all of us in SSW go out to the family and the loved ones of Mr. Alexander. They have opened up a "GoFundMe" page in hopes to raise the $10,000 they need for his final expenses, so, if you can, please help out...even if just a little. Every little bit helps when enough people are involved, and we hope that by spreading the word that we can help them reach their goal!

As many of you have heard, the SSW Champion, Vic Capri, and the #1 contender, Justice Jones, had a vicious brawl at "Ring of Horror" last week that left both men battered and beaten! Though this brawl created alot of "buzz" around the growing feud between these two competitors, SSW management has distanced themselves from it due to contractual reasons. That said, we here at SSWonline.com have decided to show the footage recorded at the show that documents the unsanctioned fight that ensued! Though, we do have to stress that this WAS NOT a sanctioned SSW match and in no way endorsed by SSW, it was just a good old fashioned fight between two men, one with a huge score to settle!

A video was just posted to the SSW YouTube Channel featuring the "East-West Express" and the aftermath of their battle with "Noize, Booze, and Tattooz" from "Ring of Horror".  The funny thing is, as Kross tries to help Luxon clear his eyes, they happen to run into Melanie Cruise in the most likely of places!
