A shocking night of SSW. Chaos ensued at the close of the show after Devin Diamond aligned himself with Justice Jones, Dave Rydell, and Calvin Beckham, costing Vic Capri the SSW Championship and going after SSW owner RJ Daniels in the process.

Regardless of the show's shocking ending, we would like to give big congratulations to Matt Dewar on winning the SSW Lightning Division Championship in his SSW debut match.  Also a big congratulations to Ruff Crossing and Scott Spade on defeating Ryan Kross and Jeff Luxon to win the SSW Tag Team titles.  Also, congratulations to Pauly Thomaselli on defeating Marshe Rockett in the finals of the 2013 "Lords of the Ring" tournament, getting the big gold trophy, as well as the guaranteed SSW title shot in the future.  Though a controversial show, we wound up 2013 with one heck of show, though we sure have alot of questions that need to be answered in 2014!

SSW owner RJ Daniels has just informed us that he is making a MAJOR ADDITION to the 2013 "Lords of the Ring" tournament this year. For the first time ever, the winner of this year's tournament will not only be crowed the 2013 "Lord of the Ring", and get the big LORDS trophy, but that person will ALSO be awarded a guaranteed SSW Championship title shot in the future. We don't have all the details at this time, but the addition of a future SSW Championship title shot means that Marshe Rockett, Calvin Beckham, Pauly Thomaselli, and Jester Yorick now have major stakes on the line, and will make tomorrow's tournament a must win for each man!

For those of you that may have missed it, we have just posted the SSW Championship Contract Signing between SSW Champion Vic Capri and #1 Contender Justice Jones from last month's event.  As many of you saw, there would be no peace between these two competitors, as a war of words would escalate into an all out brawl between the two.  An explosive moment that event half of the SSW locker room had a hard time getting control of!  Check it out:

Just in time for "Game of Gold" this Sunday, the next issue of SSW Magazine has arrived hot off the presses and will be available at the show! Congratulations to Ryan Kross and Jeff Luxon for making the cover of the Winter 2014 issue!

Also available will be the 2013 SSW Roster poster, featuring every wrestler that competed in SSW over the past year. This is a limited edition on heavy paper stock that is perfect for framing, but there is also a centerfold edition included in the current issue of SSW Magazine as well.

We thank everyone for their input on what we should do with "Game of Gold" this Sunday now that the NFL pushed the Bears vs Packers game to be on at the same time as our show. As it was before a noon game, our planned 4pm start would have been perfect to catch the post-game crowd. Alas, it was not meant to be.

That said, SSW management today, in coordination with our staff, input from our fans, and approval from our venue, we have decided to delay the start of the event to 7pm. We normally would not even consider this late of a belltime on a Sunday, but given it is between two holidays, and for most kids and parents this is not a school night, so we feel this is our best option.

We know that change will not please everyone, but, weighing all options, we feel it will work out best for most to make the move to 7pm, allowing everyone to view the game that wish too, and still be able to come to our show as well, rather than have to choose one or the other.

So, we will plan to open the doors around 6pm, hold our "meet & greet" at that time, and then begin the show at 7pm. If by chance the game runs late, we may delay belltime slightly to accommodate, but hope that won't be an issue. We thank you all for your understanding in this matter, and we hope to see you all at the show!

The SSW Lightning Division Champion, Grin, has been scheduled to defend his title in a multi-competitor elimination style match at Game of Gold on December 29th.  SSW has a long rich history with these style of matches, most notably from 2006-2008 when they were some of our most highly regarded matches on our events.  The last match of this style was back in May at our 10th Anniversary event, as a rankings match for the Lightning Division.  This match would feature 6 of the top prospects in the area vying for a shot at then champion Dave Rydell.

Commissioner Devin Diamond made a fairly cryptic post about someone making an appearance at "Game of Gold" on December 29th.  First we had a surprise visit by AMAZING KONG back in January, then UFC star BEN ROTHWELL joined us back in October.  We can only imagine what Mr. Diamond has in store for SSW this time around!

SSW Management has decided to add another VIP "Meet & Greet" prior to Game of Gold on December 29th.  It will begin at 3pm, and run until belltime.  Tickets for this will be $10, and will include either a picture pack or show program, free autographs from some of the SSW wrestlers, as well as general admission to the event.
