It was a historic moment this past Sunday, when the first title defense by any champions of SSW took place within another promotion.  As a matter of fact, this was the first SSW match to ever take place outside the state of Wisconsin!  At Fuel Pro Wrestling in Libertyville, IL, Shane Fury and Marcello Spade (aka "Natural Fury") were forced to put their SSW Tag Team titles on the line against Ryan Kross and Hardcore Craig.

Last week we released the full event of "Headlock on Hunger 4" from 2006 as a full playlist on our YouTube channel.  It was an epic event that led to the formation of "Stars & Stripes Wrestling" later that year.  One of the matches from that event was a classic match between "Picture Perfect" Remy Rainz and "The Urban Luchador" Rudo Cortez.

With our 12th year of events now in the books, and we enter our summer break, we will be taking a look back at some great matches from our 12th year.  This week, we highlight the first qualifying match of the 2015 "Lords of the Ring" tournament, where "The Icepick" Vic Capri would take on Shane Fury. 

This match took place on March 15th, 2015, at "Headlock on Hunger 10", from the legendary Brat Stop in Kenosha, WI.

With a stacked card set for our 12th Anniversary Event on Sunday, May 24th, we expect one of the hardest hitting matches of the night to be the "Sibling Rivalry" match between "Shogun" Chris Logan and his "little" brother, Shane Fury. 

Of course it is well known that at our 12th Anniversary event on Sunday, May 24th, 2015, the midwest wrestling legends will collide when Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana takes on "The Icepick" Vic Capri in what can only be considering nothing short of a "dream match".  Well, the videos have now surfaced where Vic Capri challenges Cabana to that match, and of course, Colt's acceptance of the challenge!  Watch below:

With the epic four-on-four elimination match coming up in just one week at "Best in the Midwest", we felt it was the right time to look back at how it all started.  The shocking night when Justice Jones aligned himself with Devin Diamond, Dave Rydell, and Calvin Beckham, and made Vic Capri the victim of one of the greatest conspiracies in SSW history.  Now known as "The Kenosha Screwjob", it was one of the most anticipated, most brutal, and most controversial matches in the history of SSW,  and it is now available to watch on our YouTube Channel!

An epic match has added to "BEST IN THE MIDWEST" on August 31st at The Brat Stop between two of the top tag teams to be found in the region.  Since Ryan Kross & Jeff Luxon are officially "back on track" as "The East-West Express", they will be taking on Ruff Crossing & Scott Spade ("Noize, Booze & Tattooz") in tag team competition on August 31st. 

Pauly Thomaselli and Marshe Rockett square off once again at "Fallout" this Sunday in a grudge rematch from the 2013 "Lords of the Ring" finals match.  This match has been a long time coming, given the ever present tension between these two competitors.  Thus far, every time these two men have met in the SSW ring, it has been in the spirit of competition, but this time things may be a bit more personal between the two.

Marshe Rockett has been with SSW for nearly a decade, whereas Pauly Thomaselli joined SSW just over a year ago.  Even so, Pauly inserted himself into the SSW Championship title picture right after Marshe lost that very title at "Headlock on Hunger 8".  The two would meet for the first time last May at "Ascension", against new champ Vic Capri, as well as Justice Jones, in an epic four-way battle for the SSW Championship that saw Vic retain his title.
