Beckham & Rydell defend against Kross & Luxon at "Ring of Horror" on October 19th
To this point, it was presumed that after Ryan Kross and Jeff Luxon defeated Ruff Crossing and Scott Spade at "Best in the Midwest" last month, that they were the rightful #1 contenders to the SSW Tag Team Championships. But, we had yet to hear of an official announcement as to when they would be getting their shot at the titles currently held by Dave Rydell & Calvin Beckham. Well, we finally have our answer, and it is as expected that "The East-West Express" will be getting their title shot at "Ring of Horror" on October 19th!
Kross & Luxon of course are no strangers to Tag Team gold, having held the SSW Tag titles for nearly a year in 2013...until they were dethroned by "Noize, Booze, & Tattooz" in December. Now that they have avenged that loss, they have set their sights on current champs, Dave Rydell & Calvin Beckham. Even though many would consider them to be the odds-on favorite to walk away with the gold next Sunday, Rydell & Beckham have proven to be extremely resourceful in earning victories, especially with Devin Diamond in their corner. After an upset victory over Ruff and Spade back in May, the duo saw their goal of winning the SSW tag team titles realized, and now they just have to hang on to those titles as long as they can.
Unfortunately for them, with the "East-West Express" coming their way, their days of holding the gold may soon be coming to an end!
