"NATURAL FURY" HAD THEIR FIRST TAG TEAM TITLE DEFENSE AT FUEL PRO WRESTLING

It was a historic moment this past Sunday, when the first title defense by any champions of SSW took place within another promotion.  As a matter of fact, this was the first SSW match to ever take place outside the state of Wisconsin!  At Fuel Pro Wrestling in Libertyville, IL, Shane Fury and Marcello Spade (aka "Natural Fury") were forced to put their SSW Tag Team titles on the line against Ryan Kross and Hardcore Craig.

The original match was originally to be between long-time rivals, Ryan Kross and Hardcore Craig.  But, only moments into the match, Fury and Spade ran into the ring and attacked both men.  Clearly, the champs were trying to take Ryan Kross out of action for good, and Craig got caught in the...ahem...."Kross-fire"...pun intended. After the assault, SSW owner RJ Daniels came to ringside, and chastised Fury and Spade for their disgraceful acts during the night, and how it reflects poorly on SSW Pro Wrestling...especially after being so gracefully invited to be part of the show.  RJ said that he personally felt that the SSW Tag Team titles deserved to once again be held by two men who would represent our organization with honor and dignity, much like "The East-West Express" had done for the past few years.  So, he offered to Kross and Craig a chance at the titles, if they could put their differences aside for one night.  Of course, the two agreed to work together, and with that, the match was made, and the long-time rivals would partner in attempt to take back the gold from upstart champions

Unfortunately, once again, Shane Fury and Marcello Spade would prove they clearly have learned from some of the best of the worse when it comes to underhanded tactics and how to steal a victory from the jaws of defeat.  When the referee was distracted by Hardcore Craig and Shane Fury at ringside, Marcello Spade would take a cheap shot on Ryan Kross, hitting him square in the face with one of the title belts.  This allowed Spade to score the pinfall over the former champ in a definite upset and a controversial win to retain the SSW Tag Team titles.

Unfortunately, after the match, it appeared Ryan Kross may have suffered an injury, as his nose was bleeding and he clearly had contusions developing across his cheek and around his eye.  It looks possible that he may have a broken nose or possible other fractures in his face. 

Kross is currently being evaluated by medical professionals this week as to the extent of the injury he sustained, and we will post any updates as soon as we get them.
