DEVIN'S ASSOCIATES STAND TRIUMPHANT AT RETRIBUTION
This past Sunday SSW rocked The Brat Stop with RETRIBUTION! It was an amazing event filled with amazing action, awesome matches, and shocking revelations!
We learned that RJ Daniels is no longer 100% owner of SSW, that Devin Diamond was no longer commissioner, and that Justice Jones, Dave Rydell, and Calvin Beckham all had contract modifications by Devin Diamond best described at "ironclad". We also learned that Jones did not have to defend the title for 60 days, and that Vic Capri was put to the bottom of the rankings when he lost the title.
This did not sit well with the former champ, who in the first match destroyed Cousin JP, Anthony Antonelli, and The Masked Stretcher in 3 consecutive matches. Vic's rampage ended when RJ came back out and told Vic he needed to cool off and get his head straight before he hurt someone, after he failed to release Strech from a submission hold.
Matt Dewar would successfully defend his Lightning Division Championship against Geoffrey Percival Austere, and Ruff Crossing & Scott Spade (aka "Noize, Booze, and Tattooz") scored their first successful SSW Tag Team Championship title defense against Brian Nelson & Greg Glover (aka "If Looks Could Kill).
Jeff Luxon would defeat Derek St. Holmes, and Ryan Kross defeated Nick Cutler in their 2014 "Lords of the Ring" tournament qualifier matches. After Ryan Kross won his match, his former partner Jeff Luxon came to the ring to congratulate him, and apparently putting their differences behind them. In a shocking twist, Mr. Ricolo would tell Kross and Luxon that they would be facing each other at our next event on March 16th, when the quarter final match of their bracket would take place. The two men wished each other best of luck, and "may the best man win".
The Main Event of the show was set up earlier in the night, when Devin Diamond would take the ring, and introduce his "clients" Calvin Beckham, Dave Rydell, and SSW Champion Justice Jones. After a lengthy diatribe by the four men, Pauly Thomaselli would appear and challenge Justice to his title shot he earned by winning the 2013 Lords tournament. Of course, Justice declined, and RJ Daniels set up a 6 man tag match for the main event.
In that match, Pauly Thomaselli's partners were revealed to be Marshe Rockett and Vic Capri. It was an amazing tag match, the ended disappointingly when Devin Diamond would get on the ring apron after Vic hit his "Ice Crusher" on Beckham and went for the pin. Vic grabbed Devin by the tie, but was rolled up to a pinfall by Justice Jones for the win. After the match, Vic, Pauly, and Marshe all had words with each other, as well as the referee. Vic Capri then proceed to punch and knock out the ref, to the crowds pleasure, as Devin and his crew looked on in triumph from the stage!
Who knows what is in store for us when SSW returns to the Brat Stop on March 16th, but all we can assume is that things are far from over with Vic Capri's quest for vengeance, and that it appears Devin's clients will be a force to be reckoned with in 2014!
