After the match, Devin Diamond would enter the ring to celebrate Rydell's win, and the two would go on their usual rants on how unfair things have been for them in SSW. Rydell then proceeded to insinuate that he was going to defeat Shogun Chris Logan later in the show, and advance to the finals of the 2014 "Lords" tournament. At that point, Chris Logan came out to the ring with a referee in tow, and said that he was not going to wait until later, that the match would happen right then and there. So, referee AJ Lewis called for the bell, and the match was on. The match would conclude, when Rydell's tag team partner, Calvin Beckham, would appear at ringside, and grab Shogun's leg, preventing him from hitting his superkick on Rydell. As Shogun's attention was on Beckham, Rydell rolled him up from behind and grabbing a handful of tights outside the view of the referee for the quick pinfall, and fulfilling his promise to advance in the "Lords" tournament!
Mr. Ricolo would then introduce the new SSW Champion, Pauly Thomaselli, who would get a mixed reaction from the crowd as he made his way to the ring. Pauly explained that his action against Vic Capri was nothing personal, but that he had to take the opportunity that was before him, and that he waited long enough for his rightful shot at the title. At that point, Marshe Rockett came to the ring, and chastised Pauly for letting the team down at "Best in the Midwest" and only looking out for himself. Then Marshe challenged Pauly for the title. At that point, Vic Capri came to the ring, and told Marshe that he was wrong in coming down on Pauly, and that he would have done the same thing if he were in Pauly's position. But Vic proceeded to then remind him that if not for the hard work that he, Marshe, and Remy did, that Pauly would never had gotten that title shot in the first place, and that if anyone deserved a rematch, it was him! When it appeared that the three men were about to go at it, SSW owner RJ Daniels came to the ring to calm the situation down, stating that all three men had valid points and were rightful contenders to the title. But, Pauly was already scheduled to face the winner of the "Monster's Brawl" for the title, and that Marshe and Vic would instead face each other in a #1 contendership match, with the winner facing whomever is the SSW Champion at "Lords of the Ring" on December 28th!
Up next would be the Interim Lightning Division Championship match, with Jason "JP" Parks defending his title against Colin Smith. JP would once again defeat Smith, this time with the assistance of having his feet on the ropes, much to the displeasure of the fans. After the match, Mr. Ricolo made the announcement that current Lightning Division Champion, Melanie Cruise, would be making her return at "Lords of the Ring" on December 28th, and that the two would be facing off to determine who is the "Undisputed SSW Lightning Division Champion"!
At that point, it was time for the "Monster's Brawl" match between Ruff Crossing, Yabo the Clown, Grin, and Machine, with the winner going on to challenge Pauly Thomaselli for the SSW Championship later in the show. Ruff Crossing would come to the ring first, and go on a tirade at the fans for turning on him at the last event after he missed a tag from his former tag partner, Scott Spade. He told the fans to shove it, and if they didn't like "nice" Ruff Crossing, he would unleash "the monster" tonight! The four competitors would bring their own unique styles to the match, with Ruff Crossing and Yabo eventually brawling to the backstage area, leaving Machine and Grin to face each other one-on-one for the first time ever in SSW. Grin would get the better of his apparently former partner, catching Machine in a choke, and forcing him to tap out, and thus Grin won the match and the title shot against Pauly later on.
The next match would be Vic Capri taking on Marshe Rockett for #1 contendership at "Lords of the Ring" on December 28th. This time around, both men were very evenly matched. Clearly, with the many battles between these two, as well as alongside each other, they both knew very well what to expect from each other, and how to defend against each other's offensive tactics. So much so, that in the match would conclude when both men tried to roll the other up for a pin, resulting in a double-pinfall to end the match. After a bit of confusion on who won the match, it was announced to be a draw. At that point, RJ came to the ring and stated that it may be a draw, but in his eyes it just meant that both men won the match, and since they both won, they were both now #1 contenders, and that their match with the SSW Champion at the next event would be a triple-threat.
It would then be time for the SSW Tag Team Championship match, where champions Dave Rydell & Calvin Beckham would defend their titles against Ryan Kross & Jeff Luxon, aka "The East-West Express". In rare form, Kross and Luxon would rush the ring and attack Rydell and Beckham before the match even started. At one point, Luxon put Beckham in a boston crab, to which he tapped out. Referee AJ Lewis called for the bell to ring, and "The Express" though they won the match. But, the referee cleared the confusion, stating that was the opening bell for the match to begin, and thus the match would continue. After that, it was a hard fought contest between the champs and challengers, though it appeared that Rydell was getting frustrated with his partner Beckham, to the point that it appeared he had given up on him in the match. So much so, that when Beckham failed to make a pin attempt, the two began to argue in the corner. At that point, "Shogun" Chris Logan entered the ring, and hit a superkick on Beckham while the ref was distracted by Rydell and Devin, and then Kross and Luxon would hit a double-team maneuver and go for the pin. As Rydell was about to enter the ring for the save, he stopped, and Luxon would make the 3-count on Beckham, winning the titles for his team! After the match, Kross and Luxon celebrated their win, much to the glee of the SSW fans! Rydell and Devin then walked off, leaving Beckham alone in the ring, pleading for them not to leave him.
Finally, in the main event of the show, Pauly Thomaselli would defend his SSW Championship against the winner of the "Monster's Brawl, in that of Grin. In that match, it appeared Pauly may have under-estimated his challenger, and on numerous occasions, Grin was only a second away from winning the title. But, the match would conclude when Grin attempted to take Pauly up to the top rope for a "super-plex", only to face a series of headbutts from the champ that knocked him back to the mat. Pauly would then hit a high-flying elbow from the top to put Grin down for the three-count, and thus retaining the title.
In the closing of the show, as Pauly celebrated his win, Mr. Ricolo would announce that RJ Daniels had added a stipulation to the triple-threat match for December 28th, and that it would still be a triple threat match between Pauly Thomaselli, Vic Capri, and Marshe Rockett. But, it would also for the first time ever take place under "Iron-Man" rules, meaning that whomever would score the most amount of pinfalls or submissions in a yet to be determined time-frame would be declared the winner of the match.
With our second annual "Ring of Horror" in the books, it was now set that our next event would take place when SSW returns to The Brat Stop on Sunday, December 28th, at 7pm, for "Lords of the Ring"! With a triple-threat Iron Man match for the SSW title, an inter-gender Lightning Division title match, the finals of the 2014 "Lords" tournament, and much more to come, this year's "Lords of the Ring" event looks to be one of our best yet!
